Ayden Is Here!

Well, at 38 1/2 weeks, Ayden decided to meet his family. It's really quite a story, but I won't blab too much. At about 2:58pm on Monday, 7/27, my water broke while sitting in my chair at work....and yes, it caused quite a scene! I started getting some painful contractions about an hour later. I waited through those for about an hour and received my epidural at about 6pm or so. Ayden was born at 7:14pm, measuring in at 8lbs 6oz and 18 1/2 in long. He has a head full of long dark hair and a set of lungs that can make you ears ring. It all happened so fast, that I don't think it hit me until the next day. At 4 days old he was jaundice and had to wear a bili band around his belly for one night. He went through 3 mornings of blood work and then he was all better. Addy is just loving her baby brother. She has been such a good big sister so far, wanting to hold him and making sure he's ok all the time. It's such a joy to have our family completed with a little brother for Addy. Here are some pictures to enjoy. Just click on the pictures to enlarge them.

My Belly At 36 Weeks

Here is my growing belly at 36 weeks. Maybe it doesn't look much different than the last pictures, but I sure feel a whole lot bigger. I had a doctor appointment yesterday(Thursday), and I am 1cm dilated! WOO HOO!! I know that may not mean anything at this point, but it still excites me. We are getting down to the wire here and Jarid, Addy and I are really getting anxious for little Ayden to get here. I'm not including the close up of my belly this time because...well...I've now entered the "not so glamorous" stage of the growing pregnant belly....haha. Enjoy the pictures anyway.
